Emergency Flood Relief at MSTD, Jonai Block Dhemaji District.

Emergency Flood Relief distributions organized starting from 10th to 11th September 2020 for seven villages under Ramdhan Dikhari, GP in MSTD, Block, Jonai, District Dhemaji, Assam.   This was affected by recent flood 2020.  Women Development Centre, (WDC) with prior permission from district administration Dhemaji reached out to the needy supported by CAFORD in joint collaboration with Caritas India with the leadership of Ms. Bhagyawati Bhuyan the Project Director, WDC on behalf of Director Sr. Betsy.

Total 500 families selected from most affected villages Molanpathar, 2no Uluwani, Bishnupur, 1no Jamuckguri, Badalpur Barman, Badalpur Bodo & Barachuti Kachari under MSTD Jonai Block. Out of 500 families total 300 families received direct cash transfer and wash kits was distributed to all 500 families with reusable/washable cotton mask, Bathing soap, bucket with lid, sanitary napkin, ORS & Colgate with tooth brush.       

Mr. Thansha Sabastian the Assistant Manager, Caritas India, was present during distribution along with Shri. Chandrajit Pegu Project Coordinator & Shri Sanju Singh Programme Coordinator from WDC & Shr Purma Basumatery the village Headman during the whole process and successfully concluded the relief camp in MSTD Jonai Block.

WDC remain grateful to the district administration and Caritas India for their continuous support & cooperation given to serve the needy in these flood prone areas.
