In BIJNI Chirag District on 03-4th November 2020
With the support of International Union of Superiors General ,WDC Organized an Emergency Response for persons with disabilities. Medical Camp was possible with the support of “Joint Director , Khajalgaon, Chirang District Dr. sanjit Basumatatariy and Dr.Prdipta Saha helped us in this Covid time to have checkup and Prescribe medicine .
WDC Coordinator prepared the ground to make it convenient for Medical camp and Dry food and sanitary Kit distribution .
e inaugural session began at 10 am and welcomed Chief Guest Provincial of Sisters of the Cross Sr. Annie Varghese and Guest of Honor General Secretary of Chirang District of the Village council Mr. Provat ,Dr. Sanjit Basumatary, Panbari SHC, DR. Pradipta Saha,( MO, CMBBS) Bhelegaon CHC and a representative from the PWDs lighted the lamp and inaugurated the camp .
In a short message by Sr. Annie the Provincial made a great impact in the life of the PWDS and expressed her love and concern to do her best in the future. The both doctors gave awareness talk on COVID!, how to keep themselves safe in spite of the struggles and difficulties they have to bear with. They also explained the importance of medical check- up and the use of the medicines for their wellbeing. All the dignitaries were encouraging the PWDs and appreciated WDC for all the help for the most reserved people
Srs Laisa Peter and Suleta Narzary with other volunteers distributed the masks, sanitary kits and dry food for all the PWDs present. The coordinator gave vote of thanks to all those who helped specially ‘’Bodoland Martyrs park’’ made it available and the Sisters of the Cross for giving the helping hand to uplift the PWDs and the doctors who came to support .
Big thanks to The International Union of Superiors General (UISG ) for helping this Underprivileged people in this remote village .
concern and generosity of the UISG gave lot of joy and hope for the most needy of the society. May God be promised and glorified by all for all the helps providing by WDC Director Sr. Betsy.
