Archbishop Emeritus, Rev. Thomas Menamparampil of the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Guwahati was the Chief Guest and the Provincial of Sisters of the Cross Sr. Annie Varghese the Guest of Honor in presence of well-wishers on Saturday 24th October 2020 launched a web portal. This is of the Women Development Centre, Guwahati an NGO working in North East India. .This will provide information on all activities undertaken through projects/schemes for women, girls, youths, farmers, differently able persons and also for whomever WDC working in serving the needy society.
Rev. Bishop in his launching address said that our knowledge of understanding the need of the community, difficulties/issues especially of the vulnerable what make us to serve with satisfaction in whatever we do in name of God. Above all values taught by our teachings remains firmly than the content that we learnt, must lead to enlighten society, give and take culture where world will notice through the web. He appreciated the team of WDC and sisters of the cross for the selfless efforts without profit & launched the web portal.
At the onset of this website portal Sr. Annie the Provincial extended her heartiest greetings, congratulations and best wishes to Director Sr. Betsy Devasia, Sr. Laisa the animator of the community and Team together with all the sisters for the efforts in keeping with the signs of the times by using this technology to make known the vision and mission of the Congregation. It will continue to communicate through the news and visuals regarding the activities of the WDC in various aspects. She asked God to bless the good work and guide the team constantly
Shri Alakesh Choudhary the Web designer cum Asst. Professor Testo Collage, Nagaland explained the features of extremely well laid out the availability in the web portal. He also requested all to log on to the user ID http://wdcngo.org.in to access information on different programs offered by the organization. Ms. Bhagyawati Bhuyan Project Director supervised the process and concluded the event with vote of Thanks
