3-days workshop cum SHG mela from (10th to 12th November) organized by Dhemaji district administration in collaboration with NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development), where GFFPCL was invited to participate to showcase the produce of products made by WSHGs/FPOs & Artisans. Ms. Bhagyawati Bhuyan the Project Director cum Director of GFFPCL on behalf of Sr. Betsy took the lead along with Shri Chandrajit Pegu, Sanju Singh & Probin Nath the members of the company.
Shri Narsing Pawar (IAS) the Deputy Commissioner Dhemaji said was the Chief Guest & inaugurated the event & said there is much potentiality of agri-horticulture production and handloom and handicrafts trade in the district, but these are yet to be harnessed due to lack of technology and market linkages. He asked SHGs & the people to change their mindset over employment avenues, & focus on development of small scale industries in leading them financially resonance to have sustainable livelihood.
The DC informed that the administration has launched a website: https//the deepti.in to help the rural artisans and entrepreneurs for exporting their products through online dealing & asked the SHGs/Farmers to upload their produce for online markets.
